GALERIE CHASTEL-MAR\u00c9CHAL<\/h1>\n

Galerie Chastel-Mar\u00e9chal<\/strong> has been based in Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s since 1994. Aline Chastel<\/strong>, it\u2019s founder, is a member of the CPGA (Comit\u00e9 Professionnel des Galeries d\u2019Art), the SFEP (Syndicat Fran\u00e7ais des Experts Professionnels en oeuvres d\u2019art), and an associate member of the Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs de Paris. The gallery participates in major international fairs including DESIGN MIAMI\/PARIS, TEFAF New York, PAD Paris\u2026<\/p>\n

Specializing in French design from the 1930\u2019s to the 1970\u2019s, the gallery showcase masters such as Line Vautrin, Jean Roy\u00e8re, Serge Roche, Georges Jouve, Alberto Giacometti, Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Lalanne\u2026<\/p>\n

In 2018, Aline Chastel expanded her scope to include modern Brazilian design, presented for the first time in a parisian gallery. Her exhibitions offer a thoughtful lens on these decades, highlighting rare and previously unseen works. She is also known for landmark shows dedicated to 20th century decorative arts figures, including Line Vautrin (1998, 2004), Jean Roy\u00e8re (2005), Serge Roche (2006), and others.<\/p>\n

In 2020, the gallery featured contemporary artist Joy de Rohan Chabot, creating a dialogue with Chastel\u2019s core designers. Each exhibition is underpinned by in-depth research, often culminating in the publication of reference books, such as Miroirs<\/em> on Line Vautrin and the widely acclaimed monograph on Serge Roche.<\/p>\n

Since October 2024, the gallery opens a new space which is the culmination of Aline Chastel\u2019s work. The private space only visible by invitation, seen like a gathering of an inner circle, of enthusiasts and friends, provides the opportunity to exhibit more, and differently. Aline Chastel, for whom intimacy is essential, puts communication at the heart of her work as a gallery Owen. A veritable “conduit for art”, she likes to “create connections that provoke encounters between objects and collectors”.<\/p>\n
