Jacques & Dani Ruelland both have artistic backgrounds, Jacques in painting and Dani in sculpture. They were brought together in the early 1950s by their passion for ceramics and began working with this material in a studio at the Ecole des Beaux-arts, rue de Buci in Paris, before moving into their own studio in 1954. Jacques and Dani Ruelland started exhibiting in 1953 at the Galerie du Si\u00e8cle, boulevard Sain-Germain, and then the exhibitions in France and abroad followed one another throughout the 1950s. They also participated in the Salon des Artistes D\u00e9corateurs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Since 1970, they have lived near Avignon and their work was regularly exhibited in galleries in Paris and the provinces until the end of the 1980s. Jacques and Dani Ruelland worked together until 1992, the year of their last kiln. The round vases and long bottles with narrow necks are most often covered with a brightly coloured, high gloss glaze.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
