Marianna Kennedy<\/strong>\u00a0lives and works in Spitalfields,\u00a0a quarter long celebrated for its French Huguenot\u00a0connection and well known as an enclave for artists.
\nInspired by materials from earlier periods, she designs\u00a0frames of carved and gilded silver platinum or gold, and\u00a0tables lacquered with rare mineral pigments. She also\u00a0works with Bronze\u00a0 as table bases sconces or\u00a0 mirror\u00a0frames.
\nThis, combined with\u00a0 the use of modern materials\u00a0dramatically reinvents methods which glow in\u00a0 brilliant\u00a0colours and shades. So using new techniques, she\u00a0achieves\u00a0 a fresh and modern result, and\u00a0 a strangely\u00a0classic style.
\nOf Canadian birth she was educated at the National\u00a0College of Art<\/strong> in Dublin , with further study at the\u00a0Slade School of Art London. Her London studio is well\u00a0established with private patronage.<\/p>\n
