"German Silver" vase

This vase is composed of several piled-up elements. The circular base made of varnished mahogany bears the stem in the shape of a truncated cone, which is topped by a ball. These two elements are made of silver plated metal and enhanced with black paint touches as for the conical part. The piece is eventually topped by a circular pierced element made of brass.
This model designed in 1988 is part of the “Bharata“ series, which is also the name of the exhibition set up in Milan that same year in order to show the series’ pieces.
The piece is stamped “Design Gallery Milano“ by the way.
It was procuded in a limited series of 36 copies.
