Georges Jouve, vase
Georges Jouve (1910-1964)
Vase
Circa 1950
This piece has a very simple shape whichs reminds the Georges Jouve’s talent to create timeless pieces. Indeed, this piece reminds the «Bucchero» created by the Etruscan from the second quarter of VIIth to the first half of Vth century BC. However, the enamel is here thicker and highlights the paunchy shape with curves of this «excavated object» from the 20th century.
Height 33 cm (12 3⁄4 in) - Diameter of the base 23 cm (9 in)
