Pair of chests
Circa 1960-61
Pair of mahogany, leather and bronze cabinets. Surmounted by a cutaway top covered with leather and standing on four cones. They open by a door decorated in trompe l’oeil by five drawers, whose fronts are covered with leather. The feet are also covered with leather with a saddle-stitched finish. Some elements such as the cones supporting the top, the ends of the legs are made in gilded bronze with this their original patina and also have an ornamental function. The same material is used for the drawer handles.
