Sculpture representing Saint-Joseph in chamotte clay, modeled, scarified and enameled in polychrome - white, black, brown, blue, yellow and red.
He is shown as an elderly man with a white beard and hair, brown skin, eyes closed, wearing a halo and raising his forearms, palms turned skywards in prayer.
Signed on the base ‘Jean Derval Vallauris’.

Height 139 cm (54 3/4 in)

Provenance :
- Probably created around 1965 for the Antibes cathedral’s nativity scene.
- Private collection, France.
