This sculptural day bed, crafted entirely fromgilded bronze, fetaures a bench seat standing on a serie of six bronze feet. The backrest is formed by an interlacing of bronze rods that mimic winding branches and twigs, among which delicate oak leaves and flowers are scattered here and there.
This backrest extends and slopes gently over the seat, as if stirred by the gentle breath of a spring breeze.
The striking realism of this piece is achieved through the technique of burnt wood.
This complex craft allows for a highly refined finish, revealing even the finest details with precision: lichens, buds and the natural textures of the branches.
This unique piece is an original creation commissioned for the Chastel-Maréchal gallery.
