Line Vautrin, “Folie” mirror
Line Vautrin (1913-1977)
"Folie" mirror
circa 1960
Black talosel undulating structure and two original convex mirrored glasses. Signed « Line Vautrin » on the back. This large «Folie» mirror, also known as «Le Soleil a Rendez-Vous avec la Lune», is part of these rare mirrors created as sculptures by Line Vautrin. Very poetic with this meeting between the sun and the moon, this model is also very strong and vibrating by the use of black patinated talosel, without any inlay of coloured mirrors.
