Line Vautrin, “Gabrielle” mirror
Line Vautrin (1913-1997)
"Gabrielle" mirror
Circa 1960
Mirror with an ivory-colored talosel structure inlaid with several nuances of orange mirrors. This rare oval mirror with a flat central mirror is embelished with a handle, slightly curved, adorned with two cabochons made of orange mirrors. The back is entirely scored. This mirror looks like a hand-mirror but Line Vautrin designed it to be hung on the wall. It is one of the most refined mirrors created by Line Vautrin and it can be used easily to observe our own reflection.
