Simple pendulum floor lamp

Black metal with (canon de fusil) patina, white perspex and brass. This pendulum lamp with counterweight is characteristic of Robert Mathieu’s work from the late 1950s. The precision and high quality of execution of this piece re- calls the designer’s early training in watch- making. From1953, he added perspex reflectors to the lamps and ceiling light : material that was innovative for the time.
