Pair of chairs standing on a baluster-shape wrought iron base.
The octogonal seat is upholstered with a clear fabric as weel asthe trapezoidal back.
Each back is topped with a painted glass medallion set within a wrought-iron ring Serge Roche designed these chairs in 1934 for the library-winter dining room of his Parisian apartment.
The artist called upon the painter Camille Roche to paint the glass medallions and the ironworker Gilbert Poillerat to create the wrought iron struc-ture.
