Serge Roche, important mirror in glass

Serge Roche (1898-1988)

Important mirror in glass with beveled edges
Circa 1950

Rectangular mirror set on a wood structure.
All the mirrors are the original ones excepted the ones on the external edges.
We can suppose that these mirrors have been changed at a previous stage.
Seven section of beveled edges mirrors have been used in order to shape the terracces of the frame.
This game of volumes and reflections framinf the central flat mirror reminds the love of Serge Roche for the mirrored glass.
Some parts are dotted, proof of the age of this piece which looks like simple but which is very sculptural thanks to its wonderful proportions.
