"Grand Troupeau de Moutons" rug
designed in 1985, produced in 2003

A large free-form beige wool carpet depicting a flock of stylised sheep.
Each sheep’s body is outlined by a green border, which also frames the edges of the carpet. Each head is woven in shades of brown. The top of the head is slightly raised.
An Artcurial edition limited to 150 copies, first produced in 1985 – now sold out.
The largest model produced.
The reverse features a ribbon bearing the title ‘Grand Troupeau de Moutons’ (Large Flock of Sheep) with the inscription ‘Original rug by F.X. Lalanne’ and is numbered 31/150.
