Pair of side tables
circa 1951
A pair of bronze tripod pedestal tables with a gunmetal patina and circular tops made of Burgundy stone. The tripod base features “L”- shaped feet, a characteristic of Jacques Quinet’s work. Between these legs, an interlocking pattern of bronze tubes forms crossbars. These pedestal tables are a variation—without floor fastenings—of the model created for the apart- ment of the captain of the ocean liner La Bour- donnais in 1951 and referenced in Plan No. 280.
