Jean-Charles Moreux, Living room set
Jean-Charles Moreux (1889-1956)
Living room set
Circa 1935
Living room set composed by a pair of armchairs and a 3-seat sofa. Wood structure completely upholstered with a white fabric, the parallelepipedic base in oak.
For each piece, the straight back is slighlty reclined and receives an important cushion which brings all the necessary comfort. The seat is also made with a feather-filled cushion. The overflowing armrests on each side remind the pattern of a Greek frieze. The geometrical construction of this model is balanced by the voluptuous aspect of the cushion and the general volume which make these pieces particularly welcoming and sculptural.
