Sculpture representing the Wise Man Melchior in chamotte clay, modeled, scarified and enameled in polychrome - white, black, blue, red and yellow.
He is shown offering gold and carrying a dagger at his waist.
Signed on the base ‘Jean Derval Vallauris’.

Provenance :
- Probably created around 1965 for the Antibes cathedral’s nativity scene.
