Jean Royère (1902-1981)
"Val d’Or" coffee table
Circa 1960
The structure of this coffee table is made up of a simple flat black lacquered metal ribbon, rectangular in cross-section and in one piece, which forms a Greek frieze, with the lower sections forming three legs. This ribbon encircles and supports a thick circular slab of glass.
This elegant structure perfectly underlines the lightness of this table, whose design is unrivalled in its purity.
