Maison Dominique, Pair of “Râteau” sconces
Maison Dominique (fondée en 1922)
Pair of "Râteau" sconces
circa 1926
Pair of sconces composed of seven frosted glass rectangle slabs mounted on a nickel-plated metal structure. These rectangular strips are arranged in a half circle. This round shape highlights the contrast between the two materials, and contributes to the geometrical modernist aesthetic. The frosted glass offers a soft light.
