"A Coeur Ouvert" coffee table
Circa 1978
Black lacquered wooden coffee table sculpture forming a heart shape.
The center of the upper top also draws a heart made of frosted glass top where the light comes from.
On each side of the heart, two fins on two levels open and offer a larger scale to the table.
These tops are made of patina metal slabs. This sculptural piece is signed with the artist’s monogram ‘YL’ on the base.
