Mat and polished aluminium, oxydisied steel, dichroic light. Limited edition of 10 + 2 artist’s proofs. This piece by Yonel Lebovici is emblematic of the artist’s work who was an engineer and sought after all the possilibities gifted by the light during his carreer. Here, a tall pyramidal structure opens out by the opening of three luminous flaps. The two side flaps are held by a notch system. The principal flap is held by a counterweight system. If the external aspect is matte, when the flaps are opened, wecan see the bright aspect of the polished aluminium which reflects very well the light. The opening or the closing of these flaps allow a variation of the light. The title given to this piece «Le Pantomime» («Mime») evokes the joyful and theatrical universe of this artist.
